Registrations for any classes, workshops or retreats are accepted by mail, phone, online or walk-in. Registration is not guaranteed until payment is received. Registration with payment is strongly encouraged as class sizes are limited and do fill quickly. If you pre-register without payment and the class fills, you will be notified and placed on a waitlist. You must present proof of any claimed discount by your second class. Scholarships should be requested prior to the start of class.

We are pleased to able to offer various discounts to our community. Everyone will need to show proof for any discounts claimed (this includes those who have prepaid with a discount). For MAPs registrants, you must present this proof by the second class or the discount WILL NOT be honored. For daylong and workshop registrants, you must present this proof at the door or the discount WILL NOT be honored.
MARC reserves the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment. Registrants will be notified in advance of the class.
No refunds or credits are given to registrant "no-shows".
We are grateful for the generosity of your time as a volunteer. There are limited spaces available for volunteers in most classes, daylongs, and workshops. Volunteering generally includes in-person assistance at events/classes, as well as marketing assistance in the form of flyer distribution.We also have special projects (e.g. graphic design) that can be done in exchange for attending certain MARC programming.

The Semel Institute at UCLA is an accredited provider for Continuing Education Credits (BBS) for LCSWs and MFCCs/MFTs, (CME) for Physicians and Psychologists (provider # PCE 378), and Registered Nursing (RN). The MAPs I course meets the qualifications for 20 hours of continuing education credit as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS), Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Registered Nurse (RN).
The cost for CEUs is $50, paid after your MAPs I class is completed. This fee covers up to 18 units as well as attendance to an optional "7th class" for an additional 2 units. The 7th class, titled "Clinical Applications of Mindful Awareness" (2hrs), is an optional event offered yearly during summer. The date and time of this class will be set later in the year. Information on how to register will be made available to you at the end of your MAPs I course.
CME: This credit may also be applied to the CMA Certification in Continuing Medical Education. This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Institute for Medical Quality and the California Medical Association's CME Accreditation Standards (IMQ/CMA) through The Semel Institute at UCLA. The Semel Institute is accredited by IMQ/ CMA to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The Semel Institute takes responsibility for the content, quality and scientific integrity of this CME activity. The Semel Institute designates this live activity for a maximum of 20 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(tm). Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
LCSWs and MFCCs/MFTs: The Semel Institute at UCLA is an accredited provider for continuing education credits for LCSWs and MFCCs/MFTs (provider number PCE 378). This course meets the qualifications for up to 20 hour of continuing education credit for LCSWs and MFCCs/MFTs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
Registered Nurse (RN): The Semel Institute at UCLA is an accredited provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (provider number CEP 381). Registered nurses attending this course may report up to 20 hours.
